"S-H-A-R-E in my view, is indeed a highly commendable project, which deserves the unstinted co-operation and support of all right-thinking people around the world."
Justice Priyantha R.P.Perera, Sri Lanka

The Foundation has been set up to fund nursing projects for the poor and disadvantaged in the third world countries. Its purpose is to provide free nursing care for the infirm, elderly and terminally ill in the low-income groups. We have extended our care to the physically and mentally disabled in these underprivileged communities. The object of the project is to assist in the support and care of patients in their homes and to promote the prevention of ill health by providing health education to the public.

Our key areas of focus are for the socially disadvantaged: care for the elderly, terminally ill, mentally and physically disabled.

We have extended our projects to Anuradhapura. In our Renal Dialysis Programme, we provide financial assistance to save lives.

Our projects:

Kotahena – A Community Nursing Service for Sri Lanka, created as a response to community health needs, illness prevention and the promotion of healthcare.;

Kalutara – This project began to assist in providing care in temporary camps and tents to the sick and injured following the Tsunami disaster and continued thereafter to provide a successful nursing service to many surrounding villages.

Alagollewa (Anuradhapura) – This project offers free nursing care, support and financial assistance to all those in need. Identical programmes have been maintained in all three projects.

Renal dialysis programme (Anuradhapura) – S-H-A-R-E provides financial help to save the lives of the most vulnerable and terminally ill patients suffering with chronic kidney disease.

Tsunami relief – After the catastrophic events across Asia in December 2004, people donated over £22,000 to S-H-A-R-E and we helped 245 families to get back on their feet and regain their livelihoods in the Payagala District.
